First Story Synopsis Draft

A stylish middle class house. Clock indicates that it is early morning. A boy in his late teens slumps out of his bed and exits his bedroom. The boy sluggishly opens his door and walks into a bathroom. He opens a mirrored cabinet and begins to fumble inside. He turns on the tap and water gushes out. The water gets nearer and nearer until the scene suddenly changes. We see the boy mess with a small speaker as he plugs in his phone. We watch as he slowly increases the volume. He opens his blind and we can see that he is now dressed. He opens the top drawer of a chest of drawers - he is interrupted by the doorbell. The boy rushes downstairs and opens the door. His friend stands there slightly shuddering due to the cold. He smiles at his friend who he then lets in. The friend kicks of their shoes and dumps them beside another pair of shoes on the front door mat. The boy rushes back upstairs, leaving his friend at the front door in order to turn off the music. As the boy turns the corner at the top of the stairs the friend proceeds to follow him up. The boy notices his friend at his bedroom doorway and orders his friend to go back downstairs to wait for him. The friend does so reluctantly, after spotting a knife in the open drawer. The boy walks into the bathroom - hunched- looks into the mirror. The mirror distorts his face, making one side of his face look more sinister than the other. He walks back down the stairs and asks his friend if they would like something to eat. The friend replies eagerly as they lay on a sofa.
